Mário Guedes Vidal appointed as Managing Director of Beyond Gravity Portugal

After an international career leading various transformation processes, Mário Guedes Vidal has returned to Portugal to establish Beyond Gravity's Innovation & Digital Hub in Lisbon. He has been appointed Managing Director of the Portuguese branch of Switzerland's largest aerospace company with 14 locations in 7 countries. Beyond Gravity Portugal aims to employ 200 people by 2025 to become the largest space technology company in Portugal. Currently, around 90 people are already employed by Beyond Gravity Portugal.

After an international career leading various transformation processes, Mário Guedes Vidal has returned to Portugal to establish Beyond Gravity's Innovation & Digital Hub in Lisbon. He has been appointed Managing Director of the Portuguese branch of Switzerland's largest aerospace company with 14 locations in 7 countries. Mário Guedes Vidal returns to Portugal after a 20-year international career that began in the banking sector and in strategic consultancy, before moving into leadership positions in global industrial engineering companies, working in the areas of business development, strategy and team management. Since 2018, Mário Guedes Vidal has led several transformation projects at Beyond Gravity, including creating the new Innovation & Digital Hub in Lisbon, in his role as Transformation Director. His career at the company also includes developing operational strategies and managing international cross-functional teams. Mário has an MBA from IESE in Barcelona and a degree in Economics from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

The Beyond Gravity Portugal team, which currently comprises 90 employees, is set to grow to 200 by 2025. The Innovation & Digital Hub will drive new technologies such as AI and improve the company's IT core and digital infrastructure.  Lisbon will work alongside Beyond Gravity's 13 international locations.
